Job Title: Admin & Compliance Officer Location: Abuja, Nigeria
Salary Range: N150,000 – N200,000
Job Summary:
Our Client, A holding entity for a diverse suite of companies is in need of an Admin & Compliance Officer who will provide robust administrative support to ensure legal and regulatory adherence across multiple companies within the group’s portfolio.
Key Responsibilities
• Prepare, file, and track statutory documents (e.g., CAC filings, tax returns) in accordance with Nigerian corporate laws and regulations.
• Develop, disseminate, and monitor internal policies to ensure the group’s subsidiaries comply with relevant statutory obligations and best practices.
• Identify and address legal requirements for cross-border transactions, including import/export documentation, international contract terms, and compliance with foreign jurisdictions’ regulations.
• Organize and maintain corporate records, contracts, board resolutions, and other key legal documentation for the group and its subsidiaries.
• Handle routine correspondence with regulatory bodies, external counsel, and other relevant stakeholders, ensuring prompt and professional responses.
• Coordinate day-to-day administrative tasks, oversee office supplies, and manage shared resources to support the smooth functioning of all departments.
• Collaborate with senior legal advisors or external counsel in drafting and reviewing contracts, NDAs, and vendor agreements.
• Provide preliminary legal guidance during contract negotiations, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and legal safeguards.
• Track contract milestones and facilitate timely renewals or terminations in alignment with operational requirements.
Key Qualifications
• LL.B. & B.L.: Must be a qualified lawyer, called to the Nigerian Bar within the last 1–2 years.
• Additional Credentials: Certifications or training in Corporate Governance, Compliance Management, or related fields are a plus.
• Corporate & Commercial Law: Familiarity with Nigerian business regulations, Companies and Allied Matters Act (CAMA), and general corporate governance standards.
• Foundational understanding of international trade laws, compliance protocols, and documentation requirements for cross-border dealings.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) or related project management tools. • Attention to Detail
